Kahin to giroge !

कहीं तो गिरोगे, चाहे कितना सम्भल लो

कहीं तो टूटोगे, चाहे कितना बदल लो

देखो तुम इंसान हो पहाड़ नहीं

कहीं तो झुकोगे, चाहे कितना अकड़ लो !

ये अभिमान, ये जलन, ये गुस्सा, ये

तारिफों को सर चढ़ाना, तुम्हारा

वक़्त खा जाएंगे और डकार तक

नहीं लेंगे 

तुम्हारी औकात इस बात से परखी

जायेगी, की विभिन्न परिस्थितयों

में किस तरह का बर्ताव करते हो तुम

सपने तो सबके होते हैं, ये करेंगे

वो करेंगे !

ढिंढोरे पिटोगे तो हर बार मात खाओगे

क्यूंकि तुम्हें, ये पसंद ही नहीं की मैं

हार गया तो वो क्या कहेंगे !

देखो तुम ना बहुत खूबसूरत हो

इस देह की चमड़ी को आईने

में बार बार मत निहारा करो

इसपे नयी नयी सफ़ेद परतें चढ़ाना

तुम्हारी आत्मा को और गन्दा करता है

क्यूंकि तुम मान चुके हो की तुम

खूबसूरत नहीं हो !

शिकायतें करना तुम्हें अंदर से और 

कमज़ोर करेगा, और सच बात तो

ये है कि बस कुछ देर के लिए ही

मन हल्का होता, तो चलने दो

जो है !!
